KICKOFF MEETING: Wednesday, March 24, 6:30-8:00pm @ Edgemere ES
The ASPIRE program is a new ESP program designed for kids with special needs. We are hosting a Kickoff
Meeting for parents to come out and learn more about the program and spring activities, Parents will have
the opportunity to register following the meeting. A second registration will also be held the following

Saturday Nights Annual Volunteer Dance recognized the hard work and dedication of ESPs program chairs, coaches and volunteers.
Attendees enjoyed good food, drinks and music. Kathy Darr was named VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR for her extensive service to the Rec
Council and community. Kathy has volunteered for many programs including the Edgestock MusicFest, Soccer Concessions, Flower sales
and as Chairperson for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Summer Playground programs. Congrats Kathy!
Thanks to Barb Darr for all of her efforts in coordinating yet another successful and fun event!

Congratulations to the ESP Extreme who were Crowned National Champions in the Junior Rec Division at the
"Battle at the Boardwalk" Nationals in Atlantic City on February 20, 2010. Great job girls!

The Easter Egg Hunt is Friday, April 2nd at 1pm at Fort Howard Park. Ages 2-4, 5-7, 8-10
and 11-12 will hunt on separate courses around the pavilions. Children should bring
their own bags or baskets. The rain date is Saturday, April 3rd. If weather is a concern,
people should call the Rec-Office or email Kathy Darr at taffy-kathy@hotmail.com.

| Parade at 1:00pm on North Point Road, from the VFW to Sparrows Point High School. Programs are asked to arrive at the VFW at 12:30pm. Program kids receive 1 food item and 1 drink item w/ticket. |
